The weather was so beautiful this weekend!
When we have weather like this, we are always outside playing with the kids and taking advantage of the warmer weather.
We also love to grill. This weekend, we grilled hotdogs and made homemade hotdog chili. It is basically a chili recipe without beans and it’s so good!
I thought for this week’s blog, I would share my recipe. I hope you love it!
Hotdog Chili
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can tomato paste
- 2 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp of Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ cup beef broth
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cook ground beef and crumble the meat. Add the paste, garlic, sauce and broth. Bring to a boil and turn down to simmer.
Add the Worcestershire sauce and other seasonings. Stir to make sure all the ingredients are blended well.
Simmer for 20 minutes and enjoy!
This recipe is so versatile! A lot of people like to add diced onions to the mix, but my kiddos aren’t big fans. You could always add those as you are browning your meat or on the side as a second garnish. My family loves it on chips and the hubs puts it on his burgers too!
Enjoy!
